Habitat / Ecology
|
Very high ecological requirements: average temperature < or = 18°C (alt lower limit of 1200m) and > 14°C (alt limit > 1900m). At these alt.. in the dry season. Temp. min = -5°C. Characteristic of the mountainous stage of the central domain. Heliophilic species. (more abundant under Tapia than in dense forest). Rare species in the remains of primary forest while abundant under eucalyptus trees. High altitude hygrophilic forests of the Centre (Charrier 1978). Semi-wet forest.
