Bush up to 3 m, small leaves acuminate, coriaceous to subcoriaceous, glabrous with glabrous extra-axillary crypt-type domatia. Distributed by monkeys (Chevalier 1939). In Stoffelen 1998 (Doctoral thesis), for Hirschfeldt (1932), the seeds maintain their germinative capacity during more than 2 years. Exceptionally long time probably an adaption to its dry habitat. Fruits costated and a bottle-neck like at the tip. |
