Closer to the Asian lineage than the African (Leroy 1981) . Glabrous shrub 0.95-2.5 m deciduous habit, glabrous, membranous acuminate leaves with hair-lined domatia; Sympodial. Flowers both axillary and terminal, without bracts (Leroy, 1981) - flowers sweet-scented, solitary, sessile. corolla tube sparsely pubescent outside, only tips of anthers exerted, style inserted. |
